Samsung Galaxy Tab 10.1v Starts Shipping at Vodafone Australia
Australian wireless carrier Vodafone has just announced that it started shipping the Samsung Galaxy Tab 10.1v tablet PC to those who pre-ordered the device, so as to have the reserved units in users' hands tomorrow and the day after tomorrow.
The Samsung Galaxy Tab 10.1v arrives on shelves as an Android-based tablet PC that boasts a 10.1-inch touchscreen display. It was unveiled to the world during the Mobile World Congress in Barcelona, Spain.
The device was launched through a collaboration between Samsung and Vodafone, and the latter is the exclusive wireless carrier for the tablet PC in a wide range of markets around the world, including Australia.
Vodafone Australia has had the device available for pre-order for a few weeks, and the carrier is finally gearing up to send the reserved units to its customers.

Just an update on the shipping of the Galaxy Tab 10.1v:
All customers who called 1300 728 943 and pre ordered the device from April 18th, your Galaxy Tab 10.1v will be shipped today for expected delivery on Tuesday 3rd May or Wednesday 4th May.
For customers wanting to purchase in store, the date the device will be available is currently unconfirmed.
The tablet PC comes with a fast dual-core application processor inside, runs under Google's Android 3.0 Honeycomb platform, and supports Adobe Flash 10.2, which should translate into superior Internet browsing.
The device should hit shelves at the wireless carrier on May 4th priced at $729 contract free, at $259 upfront on 12 month plans, or $0 upfront on 24 month plans.
This is the first 10.1-inch tablet PC from Samsung to run under Honeycomb, and should be followed by a new version, a slimmer and lighter one.
