I have a public profile with some followers and I like to update it a few times every day, but sometimes I'm out and without any Internet access it's rather hard. Can I write some updates earlier and have them set to be put on the website later?

There is such a feature on Facebook, even though it's quite well hidden.
When you type in an update you have a couple of icons on the bottom of the status window. To set an update to be published later you have to type the update first and then click on the clock icon (the middle one) on the bar below the update. You can choose the date and hour, and Facebook allows you to post things with a month ahead. After you have chosen a particular date click on Schedule.
