PSP 2 Officially Revealed

After years of speculation and rumors, the successor of the current PlayStation Portable, the PSP2 has officially been revealed to the world by Sony. The PSP2 was rumored for quite some time, with people talking about it even before the PSP Go appeared. In recent months, however, things really started heating up, with presumed specs, features and photos slowly making their way out of Sony's secretive hands. Now, the moment fans have been waiting for is finally here, with the company officially presenting the PlayStation Portable 2, or as it is calling it, the NGP (Next Generation Portable). Many of the specs and features we already heard in previous rumors are now confirmed. The PSP 2 has a 5-inch OLED touchscreen with a 960x544 resolution, a touch-sensitive back panel, a revised control interface, now with a second analog stick, thus making the controls just as the ones on the full pledged PlayStation 3. The new device will also have tilt-sensitive SIXAXIS controls, front and back-facing cameras as well as support for WiFi networks, 3G mobile ones and GPS connectivity. These include blockbuster franchises like Uncharted, Killzone, WipeOut, Resistance, LittleBigPlanet, as well as lesser known ones like Hustle Kings, Hot Shots Golf, Little Deviants and Gravity Daze.
