Nokia Lumia X with Windows Phone 8 OS Coming in September
We already know Microsoft is about to launch its next version of Windows Phone this fall, but we still don't have confirmation on the first devices powered by Windows Phone 8.
Even though we can safely assume that Nokia will be the first handset maker to launch Windows Phone 8 devices, the Finnish company has yet to offer any official details on its upcoming smartphones.
Until official word goes live we can only speculate on the future Windows Phone 8 smartphones which will hit shelves by the end of the year.
However, we've just been tipped on an upcoming Nokia device that goes by the name of Lumia X. Obviously, this information needs to be taken with a grain of salt until more details emerge.
We're not sure if this is just a coincidence, but a certain Nokia Lumia X concept phone surfaced last week. More details on this one are available here.
Anyway, our tipster claims his information comes from a friend who worked at Nokia Design Studio, so the Lumia X might be just a concept of future product or a device that has been canceled.
The alleged Nokia Lumia X is expected to be announced in September, possibly at IFA 201 trade fair. The smartphone will be powered by Windows Phone 8 and will boast an impressive AMOLED ClearBlack display with HD resolution.
Our source says the phone will be equipped with much more interesting features that any other device manufactured by Samsung or HTC.
Furthermore, the Lumia X will pack a dual core Qualcomm Snapdragon S4 processor, probably clocked at 1.5 GHz. In addition, the smartphone sports an 8-megapixel photo snapper with Carl Zeiss lens, autofocus and LED flash.
However, the camera will be placed on the right side of the phone and can be rotated just like the Nokia 5700 model. There will be dedicated buttons for playing games on the top, as well as music keys which can be twisted to access music quickly.
Last but not least, we've been told that Nokia plans to bring back N-Gage, but we're not sure when and how. Again, take all these details with a grain of salt and stay tuned for more updates on the matter.
