We already reported several days ago that Motorola plans to launch two new RAZR-like smartphones, the RAZR HD and RAZR MAXX HD.
However, the folks over at PhoneArena have been confirmed from another source close to the matter, that Motorola does not have any plans to release a RAZR MAXX HD handset.
Still, the RAZR HD is still on track for a release this fall, though from what we're hearing it's not gonna be as impressive as we previously thought.
It appears that the phone won't come with a 13-megapixel rear camera, instead Motorola RAZR HD will sport only an 8-megapixel photo snapper with LED flash, autofocus and full HD video recording.
In addition, the smartphone will be powered by a much smaller 2530 mAh Li-Ion battery instead of the RAZR MAXX's 3300 mAh battery.
It is also worth mentioning the phone will be equipped with Qualcomm's Snapdragon S4 chipset that packs a dual core processor clocked at 1.5 GHz. The DROID RAZR HD will also boast a large 4.6-inch ColorBoost capacitive touchscreen display.
