How to Transfer Progress and Achievements from GTA V to GTA V Enhanced
GTA V Enhanced has recently been released and is getting absolutely smashed for a ton of different reasons. While the game looks great there are a lot of stability issues and bugs that have carried across from Legacy. But the biggest problem of all is that transferring your GTA V Legacy progress to GTA V Enhanced is a total mess with a lot of people not being able to complete the transfer. Meaning they'll lose hundreds if not thousands of hours of hard work. So if you're upgrading to GTA V Enhanced on PlayStation 5 or Xbox Series X/S, you can transfer both your Story Mode progress and GTA Online character from the previous generation. Follow the steps below to ensure a smooth migration.
How to Transfer Progress and Achievements from GTA V to GTA V Enhanced
Below is the process you can use to move your game data between GTA V Legacy and GTA V Enhanced. While this should all work in theory the process seems to be a total mess at the moment. Here's an example from Steam. A lot of people are leaving reviews like this so don't expect things to go smoothly at the moment and Rockstar seems to be giving everyone the cold shoulder as well.
Upload Your Save from GTA V Legacy

Launch Grand Theft Auto V (Legacy) on your PS4, Xbox One, or PC (Steam, Epic Games, Rockstar Launcher).

Open the Pause Menu and navigate to Game > Upload Save Game.

Select the save file you wish to transfer and confirm the upload.

Close GTA V Legacy after the upload is complete.
Download Your Save in GTA V Enhanced

Launch Grand Theft Auto V Enhanced on your PS5, Xbox Series X/S, or PC (Steam, Epic Games, Rockstar Launcher).

In the main menu, select the Story Mode option.

The game will prompt you to download your saved game.

Confirm the download, and your Story Mode progress will now be available.
Note: You must download the save within 90 days of uploading it, or it will expire.
Transferring GTA Online Progress (Console & PC)
Your GTA Online character, stats, and purchases can also be migrated. Here’s how:
Make Sure Your Account is Linked

Log into your Rockstar Social Club account.

Make sure your PS4/Xbox One/PC profile is linked to your Social Club account.
Start the Transfer Process

Launch GTA V Enhanced on your PS5, Xbox Series X/S, or PC (Steam, Epic Games, Rockstar Launcher).

From the main menu, select GTA Online.

A prompt will appear asking if you want to transfer your GTA Online character.

Accept the transfer and wait for the process to complete.
Important Notes:

PC players can only transfer progress within the PC ecosystem (e.g., Steam to Rockstar Launcher or Epic Games to Steam).

You cannot transfer accounts that have been previously migrated (e.g., from PS4 to PC in the past).

If your Rockstar account is banned or suspended, the transfer will not work.

Purchased Shark Card funds will only be transferred if you migrate within the same platform (e.g., Steam to Steam, Epic Games to Epic Games).
PROBLEMS YOU MIGHT HAVE
The biggest and most common thing to note is that Rockstar support is really, really bad so you probably won't any support for a long while and the support you do get will probably tell you to eat dirt.
Migration Not Available: Ensure you’re using the correct Rockstar Social Club account and that your previous progress is linked.
Profile in Use Error: Sign out from other consoles or launchers and restart the game before attempting the transfer again.
Shark Card Purchases Missing: Double-check that your migration was done within the same platform (e.g., Steam-to-Steam, Epic-to-Epic).
Story Mode Save Not Appearing: Make sure you uploaded your save within the last 90 days and that you're using the same Rockstar Social Club account.
PC to Console Migration Not Supported: Rockstar does not allow PC players to transfer their progress to PlayStation 5 or Xbox Series X/S.
