Now that Nintendo has sued Yuzu and Yuzu Android into oblivion, people have started transitioning to Suyu and Suyu Android. This new emulator popped up just days after Yuzu's shutdown and one of the best aspects, besides the hilarious new name, is that it's essentially the same program. This means that migrating from Yuzu to Suyu is super quick and super easy and won't have any loss of game files or saves. However, there are a few minor things to be aware of, so let's go through them.

Takeaways:

  1. Can you move everything from Yuzu to Suyu?
  2. How do you migrate from Yuzu to Suyu?
  3. The best way to switch from Yuzu to Suyu.

How to Transfer Everything From Yuzu Android to Suyu Android.

As mentioned earlier, Yuzu and Suyu are essentially the same tool, just rebranded and reskinned. This means you can transfer all your content from one to the other without any conflicts or conversion issues. However, it's important to do this as soon as possible because future updates to Suyu may reduce or destroy compatibility. So it's in your best interest to move fast! Although the process is mostly a straightforward copy-and-paste from one set of folders to another, you'll find the exact steps you need to follow below to ensure everything is done correctly.

How to Export All of Your Yuzu Android Data.

  • First, open File Explorer on your computer, then navigate to the following location on your computer.

C:\Users\USERNAME\AppData\Roaming

  • Here you will see the Yuzu folder near the bottom of the list.
  • Enter the Yuzu folder and copy everything.

Alternatively, you can open Start and search %appdata% and it will take you to the same location.

How to Import All Your Yuzu Android Data into Suyu Android.

  • Now that you have copied all of your Yuzu Data you can move it to Suyu by going to

C:\Users\USERNAME\AppData\Roaming

  • Here find the Suyu folder, enter it and paste all of the contents into the folder.

If Major Version Differences Cause Conflicts and Errors.

If the above method causes problems just copy your Key and saved game data. The rest is easy enough to set up. One thing that I do suggest though is to just get new keys and firmware, the stuff you are using from Yuzu is probably out of date anyway so getting new keys and firmware is worth the effort anyway.

You can find saves here: C:\Users\USERNAME\AppData\Roaming\yuzu\nand\user\save

You can find Keys here: C:\Users\jasch\AppData\Roaming\yuzu\keys

Once you have moved everything across it's time to optimise Suyu.

Not that you have everything moved across from Yuzu to Suyu you will probably want to customise, optimise and change a few things. If so we have a ton of different guides that cover just about everything so make sure you check them out here. If you are also using Suyu Android there's plenty of guides for that as well.
