How to Remove PSN Account Requirement for God of War Ragnarok PC

Sony has been on a ridiculous vendetta to get as many people signed up to their useless PSN network recently which pretty much ruined Helldivers 2 and is now looking to do the same for God of War Ragnarok on PC. While console players don't have a choice but to accept the PSN account garbage, PC users won't tolerate it and thanks to a brand new mod, won't have to.  Those who haven't decided to just pirate it in protest anyway.

How to Remove PSN Account Requirement for God of War Ragnarok PC.

God of War: Ragnarok is a brilliant game that is being hampered by the garbage requirement of a PSN network account to play it on PC. This is not only a complete waste of time for PC users but is also preventing players in over a hundred different countries from playing the game on PC. Unless they pirate it. In the scheme of things this seems like such a stupid move from Sony, not only are they making people hate them even more but they are also guaranteeing that they will lose significant amounts of money to piracy.

Lucky for us though, PC players have the option to use mods that make life better and in this particular case allow us to play GOWR without a PSN account on PC. Using the mod is also super simple!

Just keep in mind that future game updates may break this so you'll need to stay on top of mod updates as well.

Troubleshooting NoPSSDK

If you still get the login screen error, make sure to remove this file first:

C:\Users\[Username]\\Saved Games\God of War Ragnarök\[AccountID]\userpreferences

Upon the first popup when it asks to link the Steam account, press "NO" button.

That should be the last time you see it. If this doesn't work make sure you go back and update the mod whenever you see an update available.

Will this Mod Work for Other Games that require a PSN account?

Unfortunately, this mod isn't compatible with other games that require a PSN account to play on PC. However, there's a good chance that there are other mods available on Nexus mods for those specific games. There's always someone out there trying to create workarounds for all of these stupid practices.
