SCRCPY is hands down the best screen mirroring tool available for Android and Windows. It's completely, free, jam-packed with features and works flawlessly. It's also highly customisable with an almost endless list of command strings you can use. However, you may be wondering if you can remap the Alt key, switching it out for something else. So the big question is, can you?

How to Remap the Alt Key in SCRCPY
As of now, SCRCPY does not support native key remapping, which means there is no built-in way to modify the behaviour of keys such as Alt, Ctrl, or others. This isn't exactly what you want to hear and it won't allow you to avoid conflicts between the desktop and SCRCPY window. In this guide, while acknowledging that direct key remapping within SCRCPY is not an option, we'll look at some workarounds that you can implement on your system to adjust key behaviour for SCRCPY.
Note: Before we jump to the next section I'm quite certain that Keymapping and controller support are currently being worked on so we should see it in future versions of SCRCPY so keep an eye out for them.
You Might be Able to Use a Controller Instead.
Even though the Alt Key can't be customised or key mapped in SCRCPY you might find using a controller with SCRCPY just as good of an alternative. If so check out the article linked below. It runs on a slightly different fork of SCRCPY but is identical in pretty much every other way.

What About Commands in SCRCPY?
Commands are a core part of what makes SCRCPY so damn amazing and if you aren't using them already, you need to be without them you are missing out on 99% of SCRCPY's functionality so check out the two articles below which will introduce you to all the possible custom commands you can use and how to use them. Problems & Error When trying to use SCRCPY to Screen Mirror from Android to Windows?
While SCRCPY works really well a lot of people have issues setting it up and using it. This isn't an issue on SCRCPY's end but rather the differences between Android devices. For example, almost all Chinese branded devices have quite a few extra steps involved in order to get SCRCPY working properly. You can find a full list of guides on those topics here. I highly suggest checking them out and bookmarking them as issues will pop up sooner or later.
