As we mentioned above, YouTube rules the Internet when it comes to video content, it’s also very user-friendly for sharing and embedding content to other sources. You can currently share YouTube videos to 11 different sources (not including website embedding) Facebook, Twitter, Google +, Blogger, Reddit, Tumblr, Pinterest, VK, LinkedIn, Stumble Upon, and Mail.
You’ve probably noticed that Instagram isn’t on the list which is a little bit of a disappointment, however, it’s understandable because of Instagrams 30 second video limit. The good news is that although the option doesn’t exist to share YouTube videos to Instagram, there is a workaround you can use, so follow along as we show you how to post YouTube content to Instagram.
How to Post Content From YouTube to Instagram.
As Instagram has a 30 second limit for videos, you will only be able to upload 30 seconds of content from your chosen YouTube video. If you wish to send the full video or give people the option to view the full video, you are going to have attach a link to your description. “You can see the full video here” for example.
To begin, the first thing you need to do is find the YouTube video you wish to share a portion of to Instagram. Once you have found the video, you also need to make note of the 30 seconds you would like to extract. When you have that noted down, copy the URL (link) to the video. Next, go to Tube2Gram, select Instagram Video then paste your link into the Paste Your URL box. (You have to whitelist Tube2Gram on your Ad-blocker to get access) Once you have the URL entered, your chosen video will appear below, now it's simply a case of using the two sliders to select the portion of video you would like to use. Moving the slider may take some practice, the easiest way is to drag from the middle of the red bar to the left of the right, then adjust the start and finish timers.
When you have everything lined up, click Start Download andTub2Gram will take a few moments to prepare your video. When your video is ready, you have 3 options, Download Video, (will download your video) Download on Mobile (gives you a QR code and a link to use on your mobile device), and Email (anyone using an iOS should use this, however you can also use it for other devices)
Now that you have the video file on your device, you can upload it to Instagram using the standard video load process. If you would like your followers to view more of your content on YouTube, don’t forget to attach a link to the full video in the description.
