Official inZOI Modding Support and Tools

Krafton has announced that an official modding kit will be released in May 2025. This kit is expected to include tools that integrate with 3D modelling software such as Blender and Maya, allowing players to create and import custom models, clothing, and objects. However, until these tools become available, modding relies heavily on third-party solutions, which we will explore in detail.

Third-Party Modding with Nexus Mods (THE BEST OPTION!)

Nexus Mods is the primary platform where the inZOI community shares and downloads mods. It provides a secure environment for mod distribution and management, ensuring that mods are well-maintained and regularly updated by their creators. Popular categories include:

• Character presets and enhancements

• Custom clothing and accessories

• NSFW Mods (removing towels in inZOI for example)

• Environment and texture improvements

• UI and quality-of-life mods

Even when the game gets official mod support, Nexus Mods will still be the top and primary place to get mods, especially if you are into NSFW mods that will not be available officially. As with all games NSFW mods and other crazy mods are a Nexus Mods Specialty.

Setting Up Nexus Mods for inZOI

To start using Nexus Mods for inZOI, follow these steps:

• Visit Nexus Mods and sign up for a free account.

• Download and Install Vortex Mod Manager Vortex is the official mod manager for Nexus Mods, streamlining the mod installation process.

• Open Vortex and change to the Game tab on the left. Here search for inZOI the select it and click MANAGE. (You'll need the game installed first) Once it is managed you can start downloading mods from Nexus Mods.

Installing Mods from Nexus Mods

• Use the search feature on Nexus Mods to find mods that interest you.

• Click "Download with Manager" for Vortex-supported mods, or manually download and extract mod files. Using the Download with Manager option is by far the easiest option. Just note that some mods will require you to download other mods in order for them to work. So make sure you download any other mods it asks you to get. If you skip them your mod/s won't work.

• After downloading, enable the mods within Vortex and deploy them.

• Launch inZOI and check if the mods are working correctly. Remember game updates break mods a lot of the time so make sure you update mods as often as possible and remember that you can only update mods if the creator has actually released a patch. Modding is a little frustrating like this.

Organizing and Managing inZOI Mods in Vortex

• Use Load Order Tools: Some mods require specific load orders to function correctly.

• Backup Save Files: Always create backups before installing multiple mods to prevent corruption.

• Check for Updates: Regularly update mods to avoid compatibility issues.

Problems with Mods inZOI

This is probably the most important part of this entire guide. Understanding why mods stop working and why the game keeps crashing. Firstly modding is quite frustrating at times as game updates quite often break mods and cause the game to crash. Which means you will need to constantly stay on top of mod updates and disable and remove mods when they stop working or aren't being updated.

Updating them is easy enough though just find the mod click the drop-down menu next to it and select update. Usually, there is a little icon next to the mod anyway showing you that an update is available.

Most importantly! Don't get too attached to mods because a lot of the time they stop being supported and you'll have to stop using them. This is just part of the mod cycle!
