DirectX 12, the latest major version, offers significant improvements over previous iterations, including better performance, enhanced graphical features, and more efficient use of modern hardware. Unfortunately, Marvel Rivals doesn't function without DirectX 12, so if your device doesn't support DirectX 12 you won't be able to play Marvel Rivals. However, if your device does support DirectX 12 and this is a false flag you'll need to work through the following steps to fix the problem. Also! Make sure you meet minspec for the game!

Check DirectX Version
- Press Windows + R to open the Run dialog box.
- Type dxdiag and press Enter. This opens the DirectX Diagnostic Tool.
- Look for the DirectX Version under the System tab.
If it reads “DirectX 12,” your system supports it. If it lists an older version, you’ll encounter the error when trying to run Marvel Rivals.
Check Your GPU Compatibility
- Even if your system shows DirectX 12, your GPU (Graphics Processing Unit) must also support it.
- Visit your GPU manufacturer’s website (e.g., NVIDIA, AMD, or Intel) and search for your GPU model to confirm DirectX 12 compatibility.
