How to Fix "Another Account from Your Organization is Already Signed in on This Device" Error on Windows 11

Error "Another account from your organization is already signed in on this device" when signing into Microsoft services like Azure AD, Office 365, or other organizational accounts is fairly common and is something that will drive you mad! But there are some workarounds you can use to fix this problem so that you can log into all of your services without any issues.

How to Fix "Another Account from Your Organization is Already Signed in on This Device" Error on Windows 11

Stored credentials in Windows are what usually cause sign-out, causing conflicts with new sign-in attempts. So clearing them removes outdated or duplicate entries tied to your organization. This will work for pretty much any Mircosoft-related service as well so give it a go.

Disconnect Work or School Account

If your device is linked to an organization via a work or school account, it might block additional sign-ins. Disconnecting it resets the association and allows a fresh connection.

Run SFC & DISM Scans

System file corruption can disrupt UWP apps. Running these scans helps restore stability.

sfc /scannow

DISM /Online /Cleanup-Image /CheckHealth

DISM /Online /Cleanup-Image /ScanHealth

DISM /Online /Cleanup-Image /RestoreHealth

Re-Register Windows with Azure AD

A faulty Azure AD registration might cause Windows to misidentify active accounts. Re-registering the device refreshes its connection to the organization’s directory.

Reset Windows (Last Resort)

This is extremely extreme so I would give it a miss unless you are super desperate.
