If you have been waiting a long time for some customisation options to come to iOS lock screens, the wait is finally over. With iOS 16 now released publicly, there are a lot of cool new customisation features finally available. iOS 16 is a major update for Apple devices and adds a ton of new features that Android users have been using since the very beginning. As well as adding some basic quality life improvements like the % icon back in the battery icon and the ability to add widgets to the lock screen. Apple has also added the ability to customise the lock screen clock in a variety of different ways.
The new iOS 16 clock customisation feature allows you to quickly and easily change the colour and font style of the clock. While it would be nice to also have the ability to manually change the position of the clock that feature is still not yet available. But at least we have something to start with. Perhaps they will add more options at a later date. To begin, the first thing you need to do is download and install iOS 16 on your iPhone or other iOS devices. Then work your way through the steps shown below.

As mentioned above, make sure that you have updated to iOS 16 first. Once you have done that, follow the steps shown below.
- To begin, tap and hold on the lock screen on your iPhone or other iOS device.
- Next, tap the Customisebutton at the bottom of the screen.
- This will take you to a new screen where you will have to tap the clock.
- Once you have tapped the clock icon, you will be given a selection of customisation options. Here you can change the Font & Colour of your iPhone lock screen clock. However, you cannot change the position or anything else about it.
- Now spend some time adjusting everything you want to change and don’t forget to use the slider at the bottom of the screen to adjust colour and the custom colour options at the very end (right) of the colour selection.
- There is also a colour drop checker tool that you can use in the top left-hand corner of the custom colour window. This will let your sample and use colours from your home screen wallpaper which is a nice addition.
After you have made all the changes that you want tap the cross icon to close the customisation window, then tap Done in the top right-hand corner to save the change. Finally, tap Set as wallpaper to finish the entire process, unless you want to customise your Home screen.
