Google has recently released a new Google Chrome extension that lets you view Microsoft Office documents right in your browser. Just as is the case of PDF files.
Keep in mind that the extension is still in beta version, and will not work with the current stable release. The novelty called Chrome Office Viewer supports the following formats: doc, .Docx,. Xls,. Xlsx,. Ppt and. Pptx. Interestingly, now we can install the plug-in on your browser in beta, but it should be mentioned that we can experience some bugs when using the extension since it's still in beta.
Instalacja i działanie dodatku
1. Chrome Office Viewer requires users to download the potentially less stable Chrome beta and it won’t work on the stable release. To install it, go to the Chrome Web Store and then open Chrome Office Viewer.
2. Once you installed the plug, you will find an active add-on in the Settings, under Extensions section.
3. To open any MS Office Document in Google Chrome, just drag and drop a file into the browser window. The file will be displayed in a new tab, and pop-up menu will allow you to change the aspect ratio of the document, zoom in and out, save, and print.
