After its announcement last month and plenty of details alongside teaser trailers, Battlefield 3 has just received its first full gameplay video.
Battlefield 3 was announced by DICE, its development studio, and Electronic Arts, its publisher, last month.
Since then, we received a huge amount of details from how it's mainly developed on the PC, where it will have 64-player multiplayer, and how it will visit all sorts of territories from Iran to France or the USA.
Now, after its all-new Frostbite 2 engine has been hyped as being one of the most impressive pieces of technology in terms of interactive entertainment, Battlefield 3 has received its first full gameplay trailer.
In it, we can see the extended moments we checked out in the teaser video from a few weeks ago.
The graphics are the main star, with DICE heavily showcasing the lighting and movements of characters in the game.
The action takes place at the border of Iran and Iraq, so the desert sun makes its presence felt while the transitions from the outside to the interior of buildings as well as the textures are of the highest quality.
The ending is pretty much breathtaking, showcasing a small firefight between the Coalition forces and the insurgents.
We get to check out an animation of the playable character dragging one of his teammates to safety, and then proceeding to defeating all of the enemies.
The video ends on a cliffhanger, with a rocket landing right near the hero and knocking him back in an equally impressive animation.
The video was made using a pre-alpha build of Battlefield 3, on the PC, so we can see the full potential of the Frostbite 2 engine.
