Android-x86, the famous port of Google's famous Android platform for the x86 (32-bit) architecture has just reached version 4.0.
Android-x86 is a Live CD Linux distribution created mostly for the Eee PC netbooks, but can also run on any other 32-bit (x86) platform.
Android-x86 4.0 is based on Android 4.0.1 (Ice Cream Sandwich) and includes OpenGL ES hardware acceleration for AMD Radeon chipsets, support for multitouch and Wi-Fi support.
Android-x86 4.0 is still in development, therefore things like audio, webcam, Ethernet or hardware acceleration for the Intel platform were not yet implemented.
The Android-x86 project was tested on many netbooks, including ASUS Eee PCs and laptops, Viewsonic Viewpad 10, Dell Inspiron Mini Duo, Samsung Q1U, Viliv S5 or Lenovo ThinkPad x61 Tablet.
