Zero Install Download
Zero Install is a simple and intuitive tool that allows to launch programs and games in a portable version. This means that you don't have to install them on the hard drive of your computer. Programs are launched as separate services.
The program comes with a simple interface that allows you to browse an impressive list of programs (among all Audacity, Blender, VLC Media Player). Once you have deviced to launch one of them, Zero Install automatically downloads it from the Internet and launches in a portable version. Of course you can easily remove the downloaded program from the list.
Another option available is to add you own programs that you have downloaded from the Internet and to launch them using Zero Install. You can do it using My Applications tab. If you have too many programs added to the list, you can easily browse them and find those you need by using a built-in browser.
Zero Install provides its users with interesting features regarding synchronizing the list of saved programs and video games. By logging to your Zero Install account you can create a backup copy of all you settings. Other options include, among all, a lockdown for downloading updates automatically and changing the destination folder for saving downloaded files. These are only the most important features of the program.
All things considered, Zero Install is a great application for anyone who would rather use programs in portable versions than bother with stuffing his or her hard drive with useless applications.
