Granite Portable Download
Granite Portable is a program that allows to create password-protected folders (vaults) on your hard drive, in which you can place any files and then encrypt them with a password. Nobody will be able to access you data unless the folder is unlocked with a password you set by yourself. You can use the application on both the hard drive of your computer or laptop as well as on portable devices, such as USB sticks and memory cards.
The programs is extremely easy in use. Once you have unpacked the content of the archive to either your hard drive or a USB stick, a new folder called "Vault" is created here. This directory is your safe place and any files placed in here will be protected by the password. To start to use the program you have to launch the EXE files (Granite Portable Launcher) and create a new account (you only need a login and a password). Since then your Vault folder will be encrypted.
To open the Vault and be able to access the files in it, you have to login onto your account by using the launcher. Once you are logged in the program opens the vault and you can browse, edit, modify and remove its conent. It is also extremely easy to block the Vault directory - all you have to do is to close the application with the Exit button. Then your Vault is at once closed and no one will be able to access it without providing the program with an appropriate password.
