HDDlife Download
HDDlife is a small tool that monitors the health of your hard drive and warns you of any risks of failure. The application displays information about the disk:
- its capacity,
- list of partitions and temperature.
- The interfaces supported by HDDlife are IDE, SATA and SCSI.
- HDDlife, like other applications of this type, supports S.M.A.R.T. (Self-Monitoring, Analysis and Reporting Technology).
- It supports HDD's and SSD's
- In addition, the application recognizes and analyzes external memory modules connected via USB (2.5 "and 3.5" hard drives).
- HDDlife reduces noise levels in drives equipped with Automatic Acoustic Management (AAM) technology. Of course, the quieter drive works less efficiently.
It allows you to predict the upcoming failure and notify the user before it happens. The program runs in the background all the time, so warnings are displayed on a regular basis. HDDlife also supports SSD disks and has the primary function of informing the user when the service life of a drive might be about to end and you should copy your data to another medium. The program can be accessed from the system tray or the Windows sidebar, as well as via the Google Desktop service. In addition, HDDlife distinguishes itself from the competition with the function of optimizing the disk in terms of power consumption. This allows you to slightly reduce your electricity bills.
The program allows you to determine the course of the disk. This feature is invaluable when we buy a used component and want to check whether the seller's information on its use so far is correct. Usage information is taken directly from the hard drive's internal memory. They are accurate to the hour, even if the component has not been monitored in any way by software before.
