ActivePresenter is a free tool for capturing screen that can be used for creating presentations, materials, manuals, screencasts, and demonstrations for e-Training and e-Learning. The application provides all the tools you would expect from advanced screen capturing tool. It supports a wide range of file types including PDF, DOC, PPT, XLS, as well as can easily convert to different formats like AVI, WMV, MPEG4/MP4, FLV. It also easily cooperates with SCORM.
There are two versions currently available Standard and Pro, which slightly richer in options like export capability, definable events, and Office compatibility. The program empowers users with powerful authoring environment, so you can easily create advanced simulations, scenarios or online documentation without a need to use any additional programming or multimedia skills.
When compared to other recording programs, Active Presenter differentiates itself by touting more professional approach to moviemaking. First of all, you can create and edit all projects in regard to a specific program or a selected topic. We can record by capturing the image, a specific part of the screen or streaming data. Additionally, you can set up an automatic image cropping or jazz them up with voiceover, callouts, annotations, videos and graphics. The program can also import presentations created in PowerPoint.
